Catch Up
For our 2013 Thanksgiving Turkey we tried deep frying it in Craig and Lana's backyard. Lucky it was a beautiful, warm day. This day was also the day we found out we were pregnant with our second baby. I had my suspicions, but the 1st pregnancy test was negative. I tried another and sure enough I was/am pregnant.
For our 2013 Christmas Tree we went onto BLM land in Idaho and cut our own. It was a magical and stressful experience all at the same time because we had to get home for work stuff and we also got really lost and drove around and around. It was kind of frustrating, but when we finally found the correct area and actual fir trees it was pretty sweet.
Of course January 2014 proved to be extra super, beyond belief, freezing cold temperatures. The only reason we were out in the cold was to go to the doctor (sucker) for Emily's check-up. Still underweight as she has been almost her entire life.
Besides Scott's 31st birthday and Valentines Day, nothing too exciting happened in February. I can't even really remember it that much. Probably because I was so sick for like all of December, January, February and most of March. It's all a dark period of life that I wish only to forget. My only saving grace was grapefruits and Coke Slurpies.
For Scott's birthday he bought a Mandolin with some birthday money. Scott is amazingly good at learning new things and has become fairly good at picking out melodies and playing some of his favorite bluegrass music.
