Two Sundays ago we had a lesson on the Word of Wisdom. It turned out to be an excellent lesson on keeping my body, mind and spirit healthy and in line with the will of God. At the end of the lesson we were challenged to do one thing different to maintain our health. I decided that not only did I want to do something for me, but also for my poor dog Sue who is also known as "Fatty." I don't appreciate it very much when people call my dog fat. However, I would rather they call Sue fat than me, so I guess I can live with it.
I decided I wanted to take Sue on a walk every day so that no one dare call her "Fatty" anymore. So far I have remembered to take her almost every day and I've come to love the time I get to spend with her and sometimes Scott as we take twenty minutes out of the day to go on a walk. The first few times Sue would come home foaming at the mouth, but today when we got home there was no foam and she hasn't plopped down in her bed for the rest of the evening; yet.
Today, even though it was slightly snowing and felt like October, I am grateful for my walks with Sue, Sukoshi (my in-laws dog), and Scott.
P.S. Isn't it supposed to be Spring??!
