Alpine Slide

My family flew in about two weeks ago and wow there's a ton that has happened. We spent two weekends with them while we were in the process of training for our new job, my Dad went to Panguitch, Kaylee had her 18th birthday party and she moved in her dorm at BYU, Jamie moved to a new apartment, Dan flew in for a week and we got to spend only about a day with him. We drove up to Park City and ate breakfast at The HUB, then we went on the Alpine Slide. He fell in love with our puppy, Sue and my Mom had a line of kids waiting to pet Sue while we were on the slide. It was a fast a furious day ending with a trip to the airport to send Dan home. I was way sad to see him go.

I guess the other big thing that has happened between all the visiting with my awesome family is that we started our new job at Bravo Arts Academy. Not only are we Music Teachers, but they roped me into being a Preschool Teacher as well!! Something I have never done before nor even thought of doing. So HELP! to all you teachers out there with any brilliant ideas. I have two classes and about 13 kids who are 3 and 4. This is a shout out to Katy, Jenny and Laura especially! I might be calling in tears for ideas. I've finished the first full week of teaching and I think overall it went well, but there's so much preparation. The kids don't care what I do, but I do and I know the parents do. I teach preschool every morning and then rush home for lunch and to pick up Scott and then we go back around 3pm to teach music until about 8pm. It's a long day, but very, very, very, very, very, very nice to have a job!!!!!! Finally! We've been waiting all summer for it to start and we feel so blessed to have found a job together, so close and doing what we love, music.

Anyway, I love my family. I wish they would stay here and always be around on the weekends to hang out and have fun.

  2. Hey I just wanted to tell you that I'm sure your doing a great job at teaching. And I promise the kids do care about what you are doing! They just have no idea how to tell you. I have taught in the past and am currently doing a preschool with some friends for our own kids. If you need any help let me know!
