Causey Resevoir: Scott, Jon and I went a week ago on Monday and it was about as perfect as it could get. The resevoir was glass and there was no wind and hardly any people. We explored all the different inlets with the canoe and while Scott and Jon, his brother, fished, I read Harry Potter. Sue, our puppy, loves adventures, but she sure hates being cold. We took her for a swim across the resevoir at Causey and she promptly found the sun and a dry spot and tried to dry off. She is a pretty good swimmer, but gets tired pretty quick and so we have to hold her, but it's more like she crawls up our arms and head and shoulders to try and get out of the water.
Trial Lake and Slate Gorge: We went camping in the Uintah's for a couple of days. Tons of mosquitos, tons of people, and tons of dead fish alongside the lake. It was very sad, but Slate Gorge was really cool. This picture is take of Hailey, Jon and Craig alongside the best fishing hole we found the entire trip.
Tubing the Weber River: Well it was more like floating down the Weber on blow up mattresses, but it was fun and COLD and adventurous. It was kind of cloudy, but the sun came out eventually. Hailey popped her mattress and luckily some drunk dudes had an extra tube that they let her borrow.
Fireworks at Liberty Park: I think that's where they were. Anyway, they were downtown SLC and we parked about five blocks away, but got front row seats. We were at the fenceline where they lit the fireworks and they were loud and there were a ton of them and it was sweet! Lots of scary people in SLC! The fireworks were sweet, though!
