Back in Hawaii

I'm always inspired to read Aunt Natalie's blog and to check in on Katy's constant updates of her family. It's so fun to see the stage of life everyone is in and all the little things that mean so much to people. I find as I read your blogs that I often have similar feelings and views on the world and life around me. That makes me feel normal; that is a good thing! Well, I'm still having trouble downloading Firefox on my Macintosh computer so that I can post pictures of the recent events in my life, but until then I will post this small update of my life. Recently, as in two days ago, I moved myself back to Laie, on the island of Oahu. I feel lucky to have the luxury of moving every four months....okay, just kidding, I'm sick of moving every four months, but when the spirit speaks I listen and that's how I came to be in Laie again. I am here mostly to date a guy I met over the summer who is from Layton, UT, but attends BYUH. Random. Anyway, I'm here in the same house I lived in almost three years ago looking for a job opportunity and going to the beach every chance I can get. Right now, that's often! I like to go in the mornings when the sun is still low in the sky. The water is warm after a little jog and it feels so wonderful compared to the freezing cold weather in Utah. I have to admit that I'm a little spoiled! I feel so lucky to be back home and even as we drove home from the airport Sunday evening I asked myself why I ever left!! My experiences in Provo were just what they needed to be and I'm grateful for the opportunity I had to spend time with my sister and other family that live there. Family is wonderful! I'll keep trying with the picture thing!

  2. Adjie, love your comments. Yes, get the picture thing going - I'll keep checking back here. Did you LOVE the Kite Runner? Just finished it this weekend (along with Old Testament books I'm trying to keep up with; check my blog) and was in a trance when I was done. Course, it was 11:00 at night and I'd sped read the last 100 pages until I got to the last thirty and, oh, boy, what a great great book! Right? Let me know. My e-mail is nholbrook02@hotmail.com if you want to write me. I know you're busy - love love your blog, keep writing. It's soul satisfying. Love you!

  3. Ok so you made me want to come back and visit again! Really has it only been 4 months since we saw your family? It feels like forever! And now when you talk about the beach and all that goes on there I can relate! I just want to be on the beautiful warm beaches, and soak up the sun!

  4. We miss you and love you, Adrienne!

Heck, I wish I could escape to the beach with you! It is currently snowing --- again --- but that's okay.

The snow gives me an excuse to stay in, stay warm and eat CHOCOLATE! :)

    LOVE YOU!
