Day 127-129 Mom, Good News and Conference

I am grateful for visits from my Mom, good news from the doctor and General Conference!

I need to upload my pictures so you can see just how beautiful my Mom is.  She arrived on Thursday to visit for a month.  I always get so excited when my Mom or Dad come.  They bring a sense of security that sometimes I miss.  Just a sense of everything will be okay and everything will work out.  I had to do many things before we could pick up my Mom from the airport.  I taught an early morning piano lesson.  I went to two banks.  I had to fill the rental up with gas.  I had to pick up my prescription.  We had to drive the rental back to the shop and pick up our finished car.  (One of my piano students' Moms accidentally backed into our car.)  Then we went to the temple.  And finally the time came to get my Mom.  Scott kept saying to slow down.  Everywhere we went I was speed walking; because I was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited for my Mom to come.  And she did.  And she is here.  And I am so grateful that she is here.

I am so grateful Scott is going to be okay.  He hurt his shoulder snowboarding on March 4th.  The doctor's called it a second degree AC Separation.  He has been in a sling for a month; luckily not very much pain.  We went to the doctor yesterday and they took a few x-rays and checked him out for all of about 30 seconds and said he was healing up just fine.  Hallelujah!!  When we went to the instacare clinic the day it happened the doctor told us Scott would probably have to have surgery and that it would cost us thousands and thousands of dollars and in his very kind words said, "That sucks for you."  I am so grateful Scott has been so patient all month and taken it easy with his arm.  Healing is tough sometimes.

Finally I am grateful for General Conference!  My wonderful Aunt Marcia and Uncle Brent gave us tickets to attend the very first session this morning.  I feel so blessed to be able to have the opportunity to be in the presence of our living prophet.  I absolutely love General Conference and have for as long as I can remember.  I love the music.  I love the messages of hope and inspiration.  I love feeling motivated to be just a little bit better.  I really really love not having to go to church for a week! :)  I love feeling connected with all the wonderful members throughout the world.  It is such an inspiring experience and I feel grateful to witness it this morning.
