Easily the craziest few days have just gone by. Gratitude is a GREAT way to describe the way I feel.
Wednesday I was so grateful for the Ski Patrol and the doctors who took care of Scotty. He overshot the landing of this black tube in the terrain park at Powder Mountain and landed right on his shoulder. We thought it was broken or dislocated, but turns out he has a 2nd degree AC Separation. All you can do is sit tight and lie low for about a month. It should heal on its own.
Thursday was Dan's birthday and of course I am grateful for him, but also Paul and Nichole and the kids drove in from Florida! Paul passed his exam and they are spending about a month in Utah with family and then driving back to Missouri to begin their new job and life. We are so grateful they arrived safely and that we get to spend time with them!
Friday we took Dan up to Ty and Melanie's cabin in Eden, UT to have his birthday celebration. We ordered Pizza and made a cake. We watched a movie and just enjoyed relaxing and eating! We are so grateful for Dan and that he had a birthday so that we could celebrate it!
Saturday we continued Dan's birthday celebration with a ski day. I bought him a pass up Lightning Ridge and we skied all day in the trees and the powder. It was an amazing day and I am so grateful to have been able to spend it with Dan outside in amazing snow. We are so lucky!!
Today I am just so grateful for church and for testimonies and for Sunday School and ALSO last night. Last night we went and saw this AMAZING band The Punch Brothers. You have got to check them out on Youtube. They were unbelievable. I think I am still in awe of their talent and music!
