Christmas

Christmas has come and gone so fast this year! Does anyone else feel that way? We had and are still having a wonderful Christmas Break from work and we are trying to enjoy every tiny little second of it. It's going to be over before we know it. So far we have done some shopping, had family come into town to visit, hung out with my siblings a few times and we went tubing at Snow Basin today. This year we drew names for gifts in Scott's family and we were supposed to home-make something to give to the person we chose. I have been at a loss since we drew names around Halloween as to what I could make. I am not very crafty or creative when it comes to anything, let alone a Christmas present. However, I decided to go to a craft store and buy some beads to make jewelry for my sister-in-law. I never thought in a million years that I would actually like it! I think I have found a new hobby for the new year! I forgot to take pictures, but I think it's only the beginning and so prepare yourself to help me come up with ideas!

Christmas Eve Danny came and brought Sue a huge bone for Christmas. He slept over and we went to Denny's for a late dinner/breakfast and the next day we hung out a little, played with Sue in the snow and did a little shopping. We also went to Dairy Queen for old times sake. It was way fun to have him in Layton for the entire day.

Christmas morning we woke up and ate a yummy breakfast that Lana cooked, cinnamon rolls and eggs and hash browns. We opened presents from Mom and Dad (thanks so much!) and each other. Emily, Scott's oldest sister, knitted me a beautiful snow cap and Mark, Scott's little brother, sewed him some leather/fur socks! I had Craig help me find a pictures of Scotty and his cat, Gato (died this summer) and I found a frame and gave it to Scott for Christmas. Scott had been hording money for the past few months without me knowing and was going to have my original wedding ring built for me, but it ended up being three times as much as he thought so we will have to wait a while longer. He ended up giving me a gift certificate to ROSS, my favorite store!

Christmas night we went over to my Aunt Laura's house and saw so many cousins and grandparents and Aunt Natalie was in town. Shana came with her new baby, Russell Hugh Runyan, who was born on December 10th. It was a ton of fun to see and spend time with my sisters too!
